The Borrowers Interactive Exhibition
UAL Camberwell
Inspired by the books of Mary Norton
"stories never really end. They can go on and on and on”
I’m passionate about how we can use theatre to engage children beyond the classroom. I’m keen to explore interactive exhibitions and storytelling.
The Borrowers was made almost completely from recycled materials, taking inspiration from the tiny people and borrowing what I could. An 8ft false wall with 5 different peep boxes each showing a new story to explore. The whole piece was design, created and installed by myself including the 1:12 scale models of borrowers.
The piece was designed to be a part of a museum or library exhibition, encouraging children to use more than just their ears when listening to a story.
