Gut Girls was a really exciting piece, Gary and I really wanted to honour the stories of these women and yet highlight the similarities we still find in our modern society. I wanted a design which referenced the old but in a bold, symbolic way. The work these women did was brutal and harsh and so the set needed to reflect this.
